Available for Adoption

ADOPTABLES

Below are some of the horses currently available for adoption. If you have questions or would like to learn more, please contact us. Every horse adopted from Faith N Friends comes with an honest, thorough assessment. We vet, rate, and train our horses to ensure they are set up for success.

Our goal is to help you find a horse that fits both your home and your heart. We’ll work with you to match your riding experience, goals, and needs with the right equine partner.

Dominic is a registered 28-year-old Paso Fino dun gelding. His registered name is Dominador De LaDanza. Dominic came to Faith N Friends from an elderly woman who could no longer care for him.

He is a kind older gentleman who enjoys being with his buddies. While he can be a bit pushy on the ground, he is an exceptionally smooth ride and goes both English and Western. Dominic is good for the farrier, up to date on all vaccinations and Coggins, and he loads and ties well. He is barefoot and does not require shoes.

Dominic is best suited for an intermediate rider.

Leo is a 17-year-old grade dun Quarter Horse gelding who is looking for a home where he can be lightly ridden or enjoy life as a pasture companion while we continue correcting his angles (navicular). He is broke to ride in both English and Western disciplines and is a gentleman on the ground—he loads, ties, and stands well for the farrier.

Leo came from a loving home that could no longer care for him. Upon intake, he was lame, and our vet diagnosed him with a mild case of navicular (X-rays available). Since then, we have been working to correct his angles through corrective shoeing. He is improving and moving in the right direction, but he is not yet 100% sound. To support his comfort during this transition, he receives a daily dose of Equioxx.

Leo has the sweetest personality and is eager to please. He is middle of the herd and gets along well with both mares and geldings.

Leo is hoping for a home for the holidays! If you want to ride but don’t plan on doing heavy riding during the colder months, this boy may be the perfect match for you.

Meet Pietta, a kind and steady draft cross mare in her 20s who is ready to find a family of her own! Her background is somewhat uncertain, though she is believed to have come from the Amish. Pietta is broke to ride and has proven to be calm and reliable under saddle. She is not broke to drive.

Due to ringbone and sidebone, we recommend a home where she can enjoy light riding. With consistent handling, she would make a wonderful leadline horse for a child gaining confidence around horses.

You may remember Chile from this past summer…Chile is a 15.3 hand, 1996 y/o TWH chestnut mare. Yes you heard that correct chestnut mare… so age means nothing to them. Chile was used for years at a trail riding facility which recently shut down, so she was returned. Chile has packed kids, adults, grandmas, you name it through trails for years. Chile then went to a family who decided they wanted to work cattle… although Chile has the spice, being a gaited horse she didn’t fit the bill. She is back and still looking for the right home!  Chile is UTD on vaccines, coggins, dental, farrier, and has been dewormed. She loads in any trailer, stands tied, picks up all 4 hooves easily. She would make a great horse for someone who likes to trail ride! See more
Where are our TB lovers?? Strider is a ~20 yo bay TB gelding, this boy is 16 hands and never touched the track. A fancy ride with TB tendencies on the ground. A little antsy, has set back but respects a setback halter. HOWEVER, under saddle this boy has all the buttons. A nice handle, smooth transitions, and all the things. Who is looking for a calmer TB who is a relatively easy keeper. He is on a good amount of grain however he is barefoot and we have seen no signs of lameness since he has been with us. Loads great however, likes to ride backwards in the trailer.  Strider is UTD on all vaccinations, coggins, farrier work. He is looking for his next person to adventure with!  See more
