Below are some of the horses we have available for adoption. If you have questions or wish to learn more, please contact us. A horse adopted from Faith N Friends comes with an honest assessment. We vet, rate, and train our horses. Our goal is to find a horse that fits into your home and your heart. We’ll work with you to choose a horse that fits your riding experience, goals, and needs.
Chile is a 15.3 hand, 28 y/o TN walker chestnut mare. Yes you heard that correct chestnut mare… so age means nothing to them. Chile was used for years at a trail riding facility which recently shut down, so she was returned. Chile has packed kids, adults, grandmas, you name it through trials for years. When she was returned she was slightly underweight, we are currently working towards getting her weight up (teeth have been floated and are now good). She will require grain 2x a day. Chile is a great stall keeper, but also doesn’t mind being turned out! Chile is UTD on vaccines, coggins, dental, farrier, and has been dewormed. She loads in any trailer, stands tied, picks up all 4 hooves easily. She would make a great family horse! See more
Cody is a 14 y/o, 15.3 hand Spotted Saddle Horse gelding that has used to be a champion in the ring! This boy has shown all over the US in a variety of gaited classes. Cody has asthma and stifle issues which no longer allow him to show competitively. He is looking for a slower home that likes to do shorter trail rides or romp around the property with. He would also do well on leadline rides for kids! This boy knows how to park out on que! Cody is UTD on all vaccines, farrier care, coggins, dental and deworming. He stands tied, loads in a trailer, does best on some grain- but does not require a lot. Are you looking for a horse that has plenty of life in him to roam around with? Cody might be the perfect fit for you! See more
Dominic is a Registered 26 year old Paso Fino dun gelding. Registered Name: Dominador De LaDanza. Dominic came into Faithnfriends from an elderly woman who could no longer care for him. Dominic is a nice older guy who likes his buddies. Dominic can be pushy on the ground but is a very smooth ride. He rides English or Western. He is good for the farrier, up to date on all vaccinations, coggins, loads and ties good. He is barefoot and does not need shoes. Dominic is rated for an intermediate rider. see more
Farley wants to be a happy Appy. Farley is a 14-year-old gelding grade appaloosa. He was returned from his previous owner after 4 years due to bucking intermittently. He is back in professional training to work through his intermittent bucking and buddy sour issues. Other than those issues at this time, he rides well and is easy to handle. He is a good trail horse and is rated for intermediate to experienced rider at this time. see more
Leo is a 17 year old Grade Dun QH Gelding who is looking for a place where he can be lightly ridden or pasture pet while we correct his angles (Navicular). Leo is broke to ride in both English and Western disciplines. Leo loads, ties, stands great for the farrier. Leo came from a loving home, but the family could no longer care for him. Upon intake he was lame. Our vet diagnosed him with a mild case of navicular (we have x rays). Since then we have been working to correct his angles via corrective shoeing. He is moving in the right direction but is not yet 100% sound. To help him through this transition he is on a daily dose of equinox. This boy has the sweetest personality and is eager to please. Middle in the herd but gets along with both mares and geldings. Leo is looking for a home for the holidays! If you want to ride, but are not planning on doing a ton of riding during these cold months this boy is for you! see more
M&M is a 8 year old, 11 hand grade bay pony with the cutest puppy dog personality. She is incredibly easy to catch, will come when called, stands tied great, stands great for the farrier… What else do you need?! M&M was overweight when she was returned so we are slowly working on getting her weight down. The perfect home for M&M has a dry lot or the ability to keep her off grass for parts of the day. Other than being slightly overweight, she has no medical problems. She was broke to ride after the first time she was returned. She was green broke, however we had confident children riding her. She has not been rode in over 2 years so will need a refresher if she is expected to ride. She is very gentle on the ground. M&M is looking for a home that can prioritize keeping her at a healthy weight and give her lots of attention! See more
Molly is a 15-year-old American Saddlebred mare standing approximately 15.1 HH. She is up-to-date on vaccinations, Coggins, hooves, and dental. Molly has had multiple trainers. Molly is sweet but reactive and has several vices. Molly is buddy sour and can be hard to load. She is cold-backed and needs to be lunged before riding. She also cribs. She does not need any grain or supplements and stays fat on a green pasture. She stands for the farrier. Molly has had professional training and her trainer describes her as very sweet, and just in need of a lot of saddle time with an experienced rider. She is trained under Western, English, and bareback. see more
Teddy is a black 16 hand. 13 y/o TN Walker. This big boy is beautiful! He has been a trail horse in the Jamestown area for the last 4 years. His owner surrendered him due to illness in the family. Teddy’s vice is that he can be head shy with men, and does not stand well when using a mounting block. You can mount him using a mounting block if you go slow and take your time. He stands perfectly to ground mount. Teddy is looking for a home where he can be handled daily. He would make a great trail mount! Teddy has no known health issues. Teddy is UTD on all vaccines, coggins, farrier, dental, and has been dewormed. He loads great. If your looking for your next trail partner, Teddy may be it! see more
This ole boy could use a break! Tom is a ~20’s year old Belgian gelding that was worked hard and put up wet. When he came to us, he didn’t know how to “horse”. From taking a treat to working with the farrier he had struggles. After his rehab period tom is now taking select treats out of hand and is doing much better with the farrier. This boy needs a home with light to no riding where he can be loved and respected. His sweet old sole is looking for a pasture to enjoy! Tom came from Maryland where he worked for many years. Tom has a severe ring bone that is managed by daily equioxx. He also gets itchy during the summer so we keep him on cetirizine. Tom is up to date on coggins, teeth, farrier. Tom loads in a trailer great, stands tied all day, and is lower in the pecking order in our herd. see more
