Foster Procedures

Foster Procedures

Foster homes are one of the cornerstones of Faith N Friends. These families open their hearts and homes to horses who may not yet be ready for adoption, offering them the time, care, and patience they need to heal and grow. In many cases, foster families also help provide basic training, confidence building, and socialization.

To ensure the safety and well-being of each horse, foster homes must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Two acres per horse
  • A minimum of two horses on the property, including the fostered or adopted horse (horses are herd animals and require companionship)

Faith N Friends horses may remain in a foster home for a minimum of 90 days, or longer depending on the specific needs of the horse and the abilities and willingness of the foster family. Throughout the foster period, Faith N Friends will provide detailed information on each horse and ongoing support, including assistance, guidance, and answers to any questions that arise.

If you are interested in becoming a Faith N Friends foster home, please fill out this form or email faith@faithnfriends.org with any questions.
