Internship Program

Internship Program

About Us

Faith N Friends is a 501(c)(3) non-profit horse rescue and sanctuary located in Knoxville, Tennessee. We accept owner surrenders, neglect cases, slaughter sale intercepts, and more. In addition to rescue and rehabilitation, we provide owner education and support on proper equine care, feeding, and hoof maintenance.

Faith N Friends also uses equines and other animals in therapeutic programs for disabled and chronically ill children. We host pony parties and community events that both entertain and educate the public about horses, animal welfare, and the importance of rescue.

Founded in 2016, Faith N Friends is entirely donation-funded and volunteer-run. We currently rely on an active volunteer team of 10–15 individuals and are supported by several dozen dedicated community members and donors. Our work is made possible primarily through private donations.

We regularly partner with local veterinarians, equestrian professionals, therapy providers, farriers, transport services, and businesses. Our network extends throughout Tennessee and into surrounding states, allowing us to respond quickly and compassionately to equines in need.

About the Internship Program

Internships are offered quarterly and require a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, which may include weekend and holiday shifts.
