Surrender Your Horse

The first step in the owner surrender process is to complete the Owner Surrender Form.  Once you complete the form and sign, it will automatically be sent as a PDF file to the email address you provide on the form and FNF.  In addition to the form, please send a separate email with pictures to faith@faithnfriends.org, front, side & back views including hooves, vet records showing current Coggins, vaccines, dental exam, or float.  We ask that you complete a separate form for each horse that you want to surrender and include as much information as possible.  The form is electronic and you can easily complete it on your phone or a computer.

Once we receive all of the information, it will be presented to the board members for approval.  You will be notified by email if approved with a potential time frame that FNF can receive your horse.  Please note that we continually have a waiting list and each case is reviewed on its own circumstances. The number of horses waiting to come in changes constantly due to circumstances both on the owner’s side and FNF’s available capacity. FNF does not accept stallions, they must be gelded prior to acceptance.

The majority of our intakes are owner surrenders.  An owner has bravely decided that he or she can no longer properly care for the equine, or relocating and they give their horse to Faith N Friends.

FNF will consider special circumstances or emergency situations, but you must provide all of the information required.  FNF will accept a donation of whatever the owner can offer, FNF is always in need of tack or other items for the farm as well as cash donations.

If you are in need of temporary assistance you can contact Equine Welfare Network.
