Susie

Susie (Per Sue Wca) is a 28-year-old sorrel registered Arabian mare standing approximately 14HH.  She is up-to-date on vaccinations, Coggins, hooves, and dental.  Susie catches, leads, loads, and stands for grooming and the farrier.  

Susie has chronic arthritis in her right front knee, and it is severely fused.  She is pasture sound, but not rideable.  Susie is missing several teeth and is supplemented with a feed mash.  Susie also has been diagnosed with Cushing’s.  The cost for her liquid Pergolide medication is ~$`180 every 6-8 months.

She is gentle on the ground and will make a great companion for other horses and that special someone.

Susie’s Story

Susie came to Faith N Friends with her daughter, GiGi, as an owner surrender after her previous owner passed away.  She had been well-loved and cared for prior to her owner’s passing and the family wanted to make sure that both Susie and GiGi had a safe landing.  She still has a little sass and meshes well with her small herd.  She’s learning how to interact with other horses after having spent so much time with her daughter as her only companion.
